Middle Math Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Middle Math is a math practice app for students in Grades 5–8. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used. We have kept data collection to a minimum.

Summary

Information stored on your device

Game progress, settings, the selected theme, and the free-trial start date are stored locally on the device. This information is not sent to us. Deleting the app removes it.

Problem reports (optional)

If a student or parent taps the option to report a problem with a question, the app sends a report to our database. A report contains the issue type, an optional comment, and details about the question (grade, topic, question text, the expected answer, and the answer entered), along with the app version and a random anonymous session identifier. The identifier is generated by the app and is not linked to a name, email address, or Apple ID. Please do not include personal information in the comment box. We use reports only to find and fix errors in the math content.

Subscriptions and payments

Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes all payments, and we never see or store payment card details. We use RevenueCat to confirm whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase information from Apple. Subscriptions should be purchased by a parent or guardian. Subscriptions are managed or canceled in your device's Settings under your Apple ID.

Math content updates

The app downloads updated math question content from a public GitHub repository. Like any internet request, this may expose the device's IP address to GitHub. No personal information is included in these requests.

Service providers

We use these providers to run the app: Apple (App Store and payments), RevenueCat (subscription status), Supabase (database for problem reports), and GitHub (content hosting). We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Children's privacy

Middle Math is designed for students, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no accounts, no advertising, and no social features. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a problem report, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention and deletion

Local data stays on the device until the app is deleted. Problem reports are kept as long as needed to improve the app. Because reports are anonymous, we may not be able to identify a specific report, but you can email us with the details and we will do our best to delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change materially affects how data is collected, we will say so in the app.
